The American Clipper Owners Club was founded in 1982 by Bob and Rhea Cornwell, a dentist and his wife from Marina del Rey. They both invested thousands of hours with other American Clipper owner volunteers building the club. Bob and Rhea retired from active club duty 15 years later in 1997. The American Clipper Owners Club has over 300 members, each of them owns at least one Clipper (yes, some members own two) and provides its members with spare parts, technical advice and every two months a newsletter  with information about local and national get-togethers called rallies or weekend outings with a local Chapter.  Memberships fees are low ($20/Year) and worth every penny.

The ACOC offers all back issues (from 1982) of the American Clipper Journal and the Technical Forum hardcopies from the website with an index for a low price to its members.  The American Clipper Journal contains all kinds of technical advice, improvements made by other members to their Clippers and suggestions to keep their rigs in optimal shape.  A new American Clipper Journal Newsletter arrives every 2 month in your (snail) mailbox.
