A Dodge chassis
was used on all Clippers
till October 1977. In November and December of
1977 it became more and more difficult to acquire the Dodge Chassis. Chevrolets
chassis were substituted early 1978 and occasionally used there after until the
production ceased in 1980.
In August 1977 (1978 model) the side kitchen/rear bath model was introduced
and the popular "bunkhouse"
model was added in November, 1977.
Twenty-five 24' American Clippers were built late 1979 and early 1980.
